Lexi's Story
Lexi's family visited the Lodge in June 2025.

At age 11 Lexi collapsed in a heap on the doorstep at home, her dad rushed her to our local hospital.
Lexi was unconscious for several hours and when the hospital finally gave Lexi a CT scan they found a mass the size of a golf ball. Lexi was then blue lighted to the RVI HOSPITAL, where she underwent emergency surgery to remove the tumour.
Thankfully the surgery was successful and the surgeon managed to remove around 95% of the tumour (grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma)
Lexi them went on to have 30 days of intensive radiotherapy and 10 months of chemotherapy, Lexi is still having regular scans which are thankfully stable.
Lexi also raised over £1200 for the children’s cancer ward at the RVI to buy arts and crafts for the ward , I have popped a picture of Lexi and the play specialist nurse in where she’s handing the cheque over 🙂
Lexi has been left with daily seizures due to this but takes every day as it comes , Lexi was 16 on June 23rd and hopes to enjoy her life to the fullest.
We are all looking forward to our weekend in the cotswolds thanks to Bens foundation.
