Daniel's Story
Daniel's family visited the Cotswolds in August 2025.

In February 2025, Daniel then aged 15, found a lump near his clavicle, he had no other symptoms.
After a bit of a struggle to get Dan a scan to see it was an enlarged lymphnode and his Blood work was normal.
We had to wait 6 weeks and monitor, then he had another scan which comfirmed it had grown.
Dan underwent a needle aspiration which was inclusive, he then was scheduled for surgery to remove the lymphnode for a a biopsy.
Then a few weeks later we were hit with the worse news, CANCER!
A pet scan was performed to reveal full staging. Daniel had classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma stage 2a. We took some comfort that it was very treatable and only 2 rounds of chemo.
We are delighted to say it worked, his last scan showed no disease. We can’t express the relief and happiness.
Daniel is now finishing a 3rd and final round. So we can’t let a guard down now due the chemo affecting his immunity which makes him very vulnerable.
Daniel is doing incredible and shows such positivity and resilience.
We would like to thank everyone involved with Ben Saunders Foundation for this much needed break away.
