Ross's Story
Ross's family visited the Lodge in April 2026.

Ross has been battling cancer since 2018, osteosarcoma, it started in his tibia, he had surgery to remove the tumour and gruelling chemo for around 7 months.
It then spread to his lung and he had surgery in 2022 but it came back again end of 2022 so he had to have another operation and chemo.
Then end of 2024 he was having bad headaches so he had a brain scan and we were told it had spread to his brain, he has had 2 craniotomy’s since then and is on palliative chemo tablets now to keep the brain tumours at bay.
Ross was a keen sportsman when he was younger, he loved playing football and started with our local team at 5, he loved any sport, we originally thought he had a sports injury at 18, 6 months of physio eventually led to his diagnosis. He now plays golf, when he can and is extremely good at that too !
He has been an absolute warrior through the last eight years and is a true inspiration to us all
Thank you to everyone at Ben Saunders Foundation for this much needed getaway
