Lily's Story

Lily's family visited the Cotswolds in October 2025.

Lily was born on October 18th 2007 , from when she was very little she was the most girlie girl , always dressed in pink and sparkles.

She started her first dance class at the age of 2 and took to it like a duck to water, and very soon was at dance competitions all over the country every weekend.

Lily was at a dance competition in April 2017 when she told me she had a sore shoulder.

On looking at it that evening i found a lump and took her to the doctors the next day, we were referred straight to the hospital then transferred though to Edinburgh sick kids hospital.

Within one week we were told our baby girl, who was the fittest healthiest child ever , the child that won all her school sports events and won trophies every weekend for her dancing had stage 4 Ewings Sercoma Cancer, a very rare childhood cancer that effects less than 1 in a million children.

She was my world how could this happen ?

Lily fought this awful Cancer for 4 years still winning over 200 trophies, she would come out of hospital after a week of chemotherapy and go straight to her dancing, she even holds 2 world championship titles.

We were devastated to learn after 5 years of back to back chemotherapy, surgery to have her shoulder blade removed, countless other operations, travelling to America for proton beam therapy and living there for 3 months, then raising thousands to send her to Spain for dendric cell therapy, attending hospitals in London, Newcastle, Edinburgh and dundee and lots of radio therapy,

Lily lost her battle with cancer in January 2022
