Coweeta's Story
Coweeta's family visited the Lodge in October 2025.

When Coweeta was 8 years old he was diagnosed with Osteosaracoma in his arm he had very intense chemotherapy and an operation to remove the tumour from his arm.
Coweeta was 10 years cancer free, then in 2019 it had come back this time in his ribs,
Coweeta had more surgery to remove 3 ribs later that year he had to undergo more surgery to remove more of his ribs as it hadn't all gone.
In 2024 the cancer was back again this time the other side of his ribs, Coweeta had chemotherapy at the start of the year then in June 2024 underwent more surgery to remove another 3 ribs.
In July 2024 the cancer came back this time in his jaw, in September 2024 Coweeta underwent major surgery to remove 3 quarters of his jaw and reconstructed with a bone from his leg.
Coweeta was very determined to overcome this horrible disease and had many plans for 2025 hed only been out of hospital a few weeks and he had signed up to Swansea 10k in September and Cardiff half marathon in October 2025.
Unfortunately in January 2025 the cancer had come back this time in his ribs again but on the end of where it had been cut out previously and very close to the spine, and we were given the devastating news that they couldn't do any surgery this time round to remove it and his only option was either chemotherapy or radiotherapy.
Coweeta didn't want either of them as he wanted quality of life over quantity.
Sadly Coweeta lost his battle to cancer on the 11th June 2025.
Coweeta didn't let cancer ruin his life he was very caring, happy, strong and determined. Coweeta was the youngest of 6 the baby of the family, but he was most definitely the strongest one of us all.
Coweeta lived life to the full and loved going away on holidays with the boys and spending time with family.
Coweeta loved his family, and his nieces and nephews were everything to him. And he was everything and more to them.
Coweeta in life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one will ever fill. Forever 26 💚
